The IEC 62196-1 EV Charging Interface Breaking Capacity and Normal Operation Test Equipment is designed to verify whether electric vehicle charging interfaces, industrial plugs, socket-outlets, and couplers can withstand the mechanical, electrical, and thermal stresses encountered during normal use without excessive wear or other harmful effects. Its purpose is to assess their long-term reliability.
Electric vehicle charging interfaces, industrial plugs, socket-outlets, and couplers.
A servo motor driving mechanism performs repeated linear insertion and withdrawal operations on the test sample. An external load can be connected for making/breaking (ON/OFF) tests. A pollution solution tank is included to fulfill wetted test requirements according to the standard. Switching time, test speed, stroke, and angle can all be preset via the touch screen.
