Designed for testing sockets for household or similar purposes.

Test Purpose

The structure of electrical accessories should allow for easy insertion and removal of the plug, and should prevent the plug from dislodging from the socket during normal use. This test verifies whether the maximum force required to remove the plug from the socket and the minimum force required to remove a single-pole pin from the socket assembly are within the range specified in the standard.

Test Principle

Maximum Socket Removal Force: Apply the maximum removal force specified in the standard (the total force of the main weight, supplementary weight, hook (clamping device), and test plug) to the test plug; the plug should dislodge from the socket.

Minimum Removal Force: Insert a gauge with the minimum removal force specified in the standard (i.e., the test pin conforming to this standard, the total mass of which should equal the value specified in the table) into each individual socket in the socket; the gauge should not dislodge from the socket within 30 seconds.

Equipment Structure and Features
  • Consists of a clamping device mounted under the top plate A, a main weight F, supplementary weight G, and a test plug C
  • Internal height of the frame: 550mm
  • Distance between the axes of the two columns: 150mm
Additional Features: Adjustable clamps are used to hold various products. A lifting ring replaces the D-clamp for easier operation. The main weight is directly balanced, eliminating the need for a support bracket.
