EN 12527 Caster Starting Force Tester for Rolling Resistance & Static Load Test
The EN 12527 Caster Starting Force Tester is a professional testing instrument designed to determine rolling resistance, starting rolling resistance, steering force and braking efficiency of industrial casters, universal wheels, furniture casters, medical casters and heavy-equipment casters.
It fully meets EN 12527, GB/T 14688, GB/T 14687 and other international and national standards. It can also verify the friction coefficient of friction surfaces in reverse, making it ideal for factories, laboratories and quality inspection institutions.
Working Principle & Structure
The machine uses a servo electric cylinder to simulate vertical load, and another servo electric cylinder drives the caster in horizontal reciprocating motion. It can perform caster rotation performance test (rolling resistance / starting resistance), steering performance test (steering starting force) and static load test.
Equipment Components
  • Vertical Loading Mechanism: Employs a servo motor-driven electric cylinder, connected to a 2T range sensor to form a closed-loop control system. Vertically guided by a guide rail, it can apply a maximum downward vertical force of 1T.
  • Horizontal Loading Structure: Employs a servo motor-driven electric cylinder, connected to a 1T range sensor to form a closed-loop control system. Horizontally guided by a linear guide rail, it can horizontally drag the rollers, applying a maximum horizontal force of 500kg.
  • Frame Structure: Adopts an integral frame structure; the friction surface can be customized upon request.
  • Control System: PLC-controlled with a 7-inch color touchscreen displaying force-time curves.

  • Intelligent Electrical Control System: Mainly consists of a control cabinet, control circuit, operation panel, and core control components. The system's electrical control components are centrally installed in a control cabinet equipped with ventilation facilities.
