This test equipment meets the requirements of IEC 60335-1 Clause 22.16
Application: It is used to check the automatic cord reels shall be constructed so that they do not cause
– undue abrasion or damage to the sheath of the flexible cord;
– breakage of conductor strands;
– undue wear of contacts.
Test sample: Automatic cord reels of household appliances and similar electrical appliances.
Feature: The device adopts a multi-functional fixture, large work surface, can test cord reels up to 300cm, test speed (5-30 times / min) is adjustable, and it is suitable for most test electrical products.

Test procedures (extracted from IEC 60335-1: 2016 clause 22.16):
Two-thirds of the length of the cord is inreeled. If the withdrawable length of the cord is less than 225cm, the cord is unreeled so that a length of 75cm remains on the reel. An additional length of 75cm of the cord then unreeled and pulled in a director so that the greatest abrasion occurs to the sheath, taking into account the normal position of use of the appliance. Where the cord leaves the appliance, the angle between the axis of the cord during the test and the axis of the cord when it is unreeled without substantial resistance is approximately 60°. The cord is allowed to be recoiled by the reel.
If the cord does not recoil at the angle of 60°, this angle is adjustaed to the maximum that will allow recoil.
The test is carried out 6000 times at a rate of approximately 30 times per minute or at the maximum rate allowed by the construction of the cord reel if this is less.
How to install the test sample on the proper position?
The nut of the sample mounting platform is placed in the groove and can be moved. Therefore, the fixing bracket can be installed at any position to accommodate various samples. If the sample reel has the control switch, should make the control switch in the open state. Shown as following:
