Standard:IEC 60335-2-84 “Household and similar electrical appliances-Safety-Party 2-84: Particular requirements for toilet appliances” clause 21.103.1&21.103.2. It used to check whether the toilet seats have adequate mechanical strength and are constructed to withstand repeated mechanical stresses that may be expected to occur during normal use.
Test Contents:
1. Opening and closing test (Open & Close Test Station)
Install the seat ring and cover horizontally on the opening and closing test station, open the seat ring and cover to an angle of not less than 70° with the horizontal plane, and let it fall freely. Observe the state of the test seat ring and cover and the cushion and hinge used, perform no more than 50,000 tests, and record the number of tests in which the sample is damaged.
2. Slow-down function life test (Open & Close Test Station)
Install the seat ring and cover on the first station on the left, open the seat ring and cover to an angle of 70° with the horizontal, and let it fall freely. Measure the time T used in the process, accurate to 0.01s. Record and report the number of opening and closing times when T is less than 3.0s.
3. High-pressure test (Open & Close Test Station)
Install the seat ring and cover on the first station on the left. Lift it to an angle of 70° with the horizontal plane and force it to open and close. The opening and closing time are 0.5s~1s respectively. Pause for at least 15s after opening or closing. After 10,000 high-pressure opening and closing tests, check and record whether the slow-drop device is normal and without damage. Measure and record the slow-down time.
4. Static pressure test (Static Pressure / Impact Test Station)
The appliance is subjected to an evenly distributed force of 1250N applied perpendicularly to the seat for 4s by a rubber disc having a thickness of 10mm, a diameter of 300 mm and a shore A hardness of 70°, with a steel disc having a thickness of 5mm and a diameter of 30mm attached on its upper surface. The test is carried out 20 000 times.
5. Impact test (Static Pressure / Impact Test Station)
Set the seat ring temperature to the highest level. Water should not be supplied during the test. Place a steel plate with a diameter of 300mm and a thickness of 5mm and a rubber plate with a diameter of 300mm and a thickness of 10mm on the seat ring, apply a force of 1250N in the vertical direction at a frequency of 10 to 20 times per minute, and operate 20,000 times.
6. 890N force test (Extrusion Test Station)
The appliance is subjected to an evenly distributed force of 890N applied perpendicularly on each side of the seat for 1s with 0.5 s interval by a rubber disc having a thickness of 19mm, a diameter of 76 mm and a shore A hardness of 70°. The test is carried out 10 000 cycles. One cycle consists of applying the force to one side and the other.
