The impulse voltage generator comforms to the standards as follow.

IEC60335-1:2016 clause 14.

IEC60950-1:2013 clause1.5.7.2, 1.5.7.3,2.10.3.9,6.2.2.1,7.4.2,7.4.3,G5,Annexe N.

IEC60065:2014 clause13.3.4,Annex J.5, Annex K.

IEC 61180-1:2016 < High-voltage test techniques for low voltage equipment - Part 1: Definitions, test and procedure requirements, test equipment> clause 7.

It is used to verify that appliances shall withstand the transient over-voltages to which thet may be subjected. The impulse voltage generator with a wave of 1.2/50ms(10/700ms) is a standard lightning wave test device. The front time of the impulse voltage is 1.2ms(10ms)   ,the time to half-value is 50ms(700ms).
