Product Overview

The SN774B high-voltage leakage tracking test instrument is designed and manufactured in compliance with GB/T 6553-2024 and IEC 60587:2022 standards. This equipment evaluates the resistance to tracking and erosion of electrical insulating materials, including thermosetting/thermoplastic plastics, insulators, and cable insulating materials under power frequency high voltage with contaminated electrolyte.

Utilizing Method 1: Constant Voltage Method as specified in Clause 6.4 of GB/T 6553-2024 (IEC 60587:2022), this apparatus is suitable for inclined specimens with liquid contaminants for tracking and erosion resistance grading. It supports common grading voltages of 2.5 kV, 3.5 kV, and 4.5 kV.

Contaminant Liquid Supply System
Contaminant Liquid Formula

Prepared with distilled water, the mixed solution contains (0.1 ± 0.002) % analytical grade ammonium chloride (NH₄Cl) and (0.02 ± 0.002) % isooctylphenoxy polyethoxy ethanol (non-ionic wetting agent) by mass fraction.

Preparation method: Add 2000 mL distilled water into a measuring cup, weigh 2 g analytical grade NH₄Cl solid and 0.4 g isooctylphenoxy polyethoxy ethanol, pour into distilled water and stir evenly with a glass rod.

Filter Paper Requirements

Filter paper thickness: 0.2 ± 0.02 mm, cut into specified shape and placed between upper electrode and specimen. Use 8 layers if thicker filter paper is adopted.

Peristaltic Pump Dripping

Drip drive: 1 group, switching control, using a precision peristaltic pump for dripping, flow rate range 0.00185~20 ml/min, operating speed 0.1~50 rpm, flow accuracy error: <0.2%.

Raise voltage to 2.5 kV / 3.5 kV / 4.5 kV after parameter setting, then start liquid dripping and timing. The system stops automatically when dripping lasts for 6 hours. For tests at other voltages, use another 5 specimens for each target voltage. The constant tracking voltage is the maximum voltage at which all five specimens remain intact after 6-hour test

Product Overview

The SN774B high-voltage leakage tracking test instrument is designed and manufactured in compliance with GB/T 6553-2024 and IEC 60587:2022 standards. This equipment evaluates the resistance to tracking and erosion of electrical insulating materials, including thermosetting/thermoplastic plastics, insulators, and cable insulating materials under power frequency high voltage with contaminated electrolyte.
