Product information:


Applicable Standards: IEC 61386-1:2017 <Conduit systems for cable management Part 1: General requirements> Clause 10.2

 

Specimens & Scope: Suitable for metal, non-metallic and composite conduits used to protect and manage insulated wires and/or cables for electrical or communication systems up to AC 1000 V and/or DC 1500 V.

 

Test Purpose: To evaluate whether the mechanical performance of conduits after compression meets the standard requirements.

 

Test Principle:

A PLC control system drives the motor to apply force via a sensor. The sensor is connected to a steel block of (50 ± 0.5) × 50 mm.

The specified force is applied to the specimen within (30 ± 3) s and maintained for (60 ± 2) s. The outer diameter of the specimen is measured during loading, and the deformation shall not exceed 25% of the original outer diameter.

After unloading, the device automatically returns. After (60 ± 2) s, the outer diameter is measured again, and the deformation shall not exceed 10% of the original outer diameter.
