This dust test chamber is designed and manufactured according to IEC60529-2013 Fig 2, and required by IEC 60335-1 Clause 22.1, IEC60598-1-2008, and etc. It is suitable for carrying out the sand dust test for electrical products with the first characteristic numbers of 5 and 6 (IP5X and IP6X).
This test chamber can provide non-laminar dust-carrying vertical circulating airflow, which can be controlled at regular intervals. It is configured with a vacuum pump, operator can choose the vacuum function to pump the air out of the tested product shell, and the pumping volume and pressure difference can be adjustable. In addition, the airflow temperature control device is equipped in the chamber to ensure that the test is carried out under the environmental conditions required by the standard.
In accordance with the requirements of the standard, this test chamber adopts artificially simulated dust environment to test the dustproof ability of the sample, the specific requirements and qualification criteria should be in accordance with IEC60529-2013 or product standard requirements.

Basic design principle of this chamber:
Design a cone-shaped funnel with a dust collection port at the bottom, install the suction port of the high-pressure turbine circulation fan at the dust extraction port (bottom), the pumped dust is sent to the top of the inner chamber and then freely spilled from top to bottom, thus repeating the cycles again and again.

Remarks: This test chamber can meet the requirements of degrees of protection provided by enclosures of household appliances, low-voltage electrical appliances, automobile, motorcycle parts and etc.
Structure and Panel Description:
The structure and working principle of the dust test chamber are the same as IEC60529-2013, and equipped with an additional airflow heating device, in order to facilitate the use in the case of low ambient temperature or high humidity. When the system is working, operator first puts the dried standard talc powder (2kg/M3) into the dust test chamber, then puts test sample into the dust test chamber, and then starts the fan to make a high-density dust mist formed in the chamber until the preset test time is reached (Usually 8h).
