IEC 62552 Brass Test Cylinder For Household Refrigerator Durability Test

Applied in two core certification tests:

• Door gasket compression & resilience test: Brass cylinders apply uniform static pressure on door seals to simulate long-term external force leaning against fridge doors. After sustained loading, inspect permanent indentation and sealing recovery of gaskets to check cold air leakage risk.
• Door hinge sag & mechanical durability test: Mount multiple cylinders on the door panel to add standardized extra weight. Perform thousands of automatic door opening/closing cycles. After the test, measure door sag and uneven door gaps to verify the structural strength of door hinges and door assemblies.

High-density brass guarantees stable, consistent mass across all labs to eliminate test deviation caused by different material densities. The central through-hole and side threaded hole allow fast mounting on test fixtures.

• Assembly & Fixing: Use the supplied brass set screws and L-shaped Allen key to lock each test cylinder onto the designated test positions of the refrigerator door. Distribute multiple cylinders evenly as required by the standard.
• Static Compression Test: Stabilize the fridge internal temperature under standard test conditions. Keep the cylinders loaded on door gaskets for the specified holding duration. After unloading, measure door clearance with feeler gauges and record cabinet temperature rise to assess sealing performance.
• Cyclic Durability Test: Retain all cylinders mounted on the door, connect the fridge to an automatic door opening tester and run cyclic opening/closing operations per IEC 62552 requirements.
• Compliance Judgement: If the door gasket cannot fully rebound, door gaps exceed tolerance, or internal temperature rises excessively after testing, the door sealing and hinge structure fail the IEC 62552 certification.
