The 3mm Test Rod is a precision-engineered test probe designed in full compliance with IEC 60884-1:2022, Clause 24.12, specifically for evaluating the mechanical strength and effectiveness of barriers in plugs and socket-outlets.
Manufactured from high-quality steel, the rod features a 3 mm cylindrical body and a hemispherical tip with a 1.5 mm radius, ensuring accurate and repeatable test results. During testing, the rod is applied perpendicularly to the mounting surface at the most unfavorable position for 10 seconds, using a force equal to 1.5 times the maximum plug withdrawal force, as required by the standard.

The test probe doesn’t have built-in force, if specific applied force required, the test probe should work together with a force gauge. At the end of our probe handle, there is a M6 thread hole to match the force gauge. Showing as following reference picture:
