IEC 60601-1 Oxygen Rich Environment Spark Ignition Test Chamber for Spark Ignition Test

3. Application: It is used for spark ignition test of medical device boards or devices in oxygen-rich environment, and is used to evaluate the fire risk of its equipment under oxygen-rich conditions.
4. Test principle: Oxygen-rich environment means that the oxygen concentration is greater than 25% when the ambient pressure does not exceed 110kPa; or when the ambient pressure is greater than 110kPa, the oxygen partial pressure is greater than 27.5kPa. This test device is used for spark ignition test of medical device boards or devices in oxygen-rich environment. This device is used to perform spark ignition test to determine whether there is an ignition source.
By adjusting the pressure and flow of oxygen, the leakage and operation of the pipeline in the oxygen-rich environment are detected to finally detect the fire hazard. It is mainly designed based on the following standard schematic diagram. Place two tabs made of the considered material opposite each other (see picture below). One is 1mm in diameter. The other is 3mm in diameter. The power supply is connected to the +- pins shown in the figure. A piece of cotton is placed near the contact surface of the two joints. Oxygen is continuously sprayed to the contact surface at a speed of less than 0.5m/s through a catheter, and the resistor is moved toward the anode to approach the contact surface, and then pulled back to separate it. Repeat at least 300 times to determine whether the spark will be ignited. If the spark becomes smaller due to the deterioration of the electrode surface, clean the electrode with a file. If the cotton becomes black due to oxidation replace it.
5. Equipment structure and characteristics: The equipment consists of a control cabinet and a drive device, an oxygen concentrator, and an electrical regulation system. The structure is as follows.
