The lampholder “Go” and “Not Go” gauges are manufactured according to relative requirements of IEC 60061-3, they are required by UL 496 2013 clause 5.2.4.2.
These lampholder gauges are used to check whether the dimensions and shapes of the lampholders meet standard requirements by using the lampholders interchangeable size gauges.
E14, E26, E27, E39, and E40 are the size specifications of the screw socket, which are used to specify the standard for connecting the bulb to the socket. And "Go and Not Go Gauges" (also known as "GO/NO-GO Gauges") is a measuring tool used to check whether the dimensions of the product meet the requirements.
During the manufacture and assembly of screw sockets, a GO/NO-GO gauge is used to confirm that the dimensions of the socket are within specification. The GO gauge is used to check the maximum allowable size of the lampholder, while the NO-GO gauge is used to check the minimum allowable size.
