The swivel connection rotation testing equipment is special designed and manufactured according to IEC60335-2-23 clasue 11.101, it is used to examine the temperature rise performance of the sliding contacts of the swivel connection of hair & skin care appliances after a continuous rotating operation.
The test device adopts to PLC electrical control, 7-inch color touch screen intelligent operation system; servo motor controlling the test angle, high precision digital instrument, high performance digital frequency conversion, precise speed regulation, six number memory timer, multifunctional combined clamps, center gauge of rotation, bending angle adjustable, 4kw output power, can also supply load current to test sample (1.25 times of test sample’s rated current). Test times (maximum of 999999 times), test speed can be preset; it has electric current detection function.

Test procedures (extracted from IEC 60335-2-23: 2019 clause 11.101):
Appliances incorporating a swivel connection are positioned with their major axis horizontal, the supply cord hanging vertically. A pull force of 1N is applied to the supply cord.
The appliance is supplied at rated voltage, the current being 1.25 times the rated current.
The appliance is rotated about its major axis at a rate of approximately 50r/min, the direction of rotation being reversed every 20 revolutions. The test is carried out for 1500 revolutions.
The temperature rise of the sliding contacts shall not exceed 65 K. (Measured with the infrared thermometer that comes with this equipement).
How to install the test sample on the proper position?
Make the end of the power cord of the test sample is outwards and the other end of the test sample without power cord to be clamped on the fixture, the center of the sample should be consistent with the center of the fixture, and should not damage the sample. The power cord sheath and wire vertical downward, then tie the power cable in the appropriate position in order to hang the weight. The power cord sheath can be clamped tighten or not according to the actual situation. Shown as following:
