IEC60898-1 Circuit Breaker Tripping Characteristics Test Machine

 

Product overview:

The test equipment is designed and manufactured according to the standard requirements of

IEC60898-1 clause 9.8, 9.9 and 9.10, IEC60947-1 clause 7.2.1 and etc.

 

It is made to verify that the circuit-breaker complies with the requirements, which apply 1.13 times, 1.45 times, and 2.55 times the rated current to test to see if it trips within the specified time. The test equipment can also test the instantaneous tripping characteristics of the circuit breaker, that is, apply 3 to 20 times the rated current for the test whether it jumps out of the time. Also meets standard 28-day test and temperature-rise test requirements.

 

It is suitable for online testing of molded case circuit breakers and miniature circuit breakers before leaving the factory. It is a necessary equipment for electrical performance testing of circuit breaker manufacturers.

Test program The sample is supplied with AC 30V and rated current, the power-on time is 21 hours, the power-off time is 3 hours, and the cycle is 28 times. The terminal temperature is measured during the last power-on cycle, and compared with the initial measured temperature, the temperature rise value is compared with the standard requirements. After the temperature rise measurement, the current rises to the tripping current value in 5 seconds, and the circuit breaker should trip within the given/preset time.

Evaluation of results

1. Whether the circuit breaker tripped during the test or not. If it tripped, it failed; if it did not trip, it passed.

2. Temperature rise comparison, if it exceeds the standard value by 15K, it is defective; if it does not exceed the standard value, it is acceptable.

3. After the current rises to the tripping current, if it trips within the given/preset time, it is acceptable; if it exceeds the given/preset time or does not trip, it is defective.

Chamber is equipped with a heating device, with a temperature control range of RT+5~50°C, so that the model samples in the chamber can be used at normal ambient temperatures, and includes a three-way ambient temperature monitoring function.

The software must allow the execution of any test program to be terminated at any time without having to wait for the standard procedure to complete, retaining the results obtained at the time of termination.

 

 

Test principle:

This test equipment adopts the principle of low voltage and high current output, uses the large current in the machine to isolate the output current of the transformer, sets the current size through the touch screen, and the constant current source adjusts the size of the output current of the transformer, which has the function of automatically stabilizing the current. It has an option of setting the test time using the touch screen and comparing the test trip time to evaluate the quality of the circuit breaker.
