Customized Air Conditioner Energy Efficiency Lab Heat Pump Enthalpy Test Chamber

 

System introduction:

 

The energy efficiency testing laboratory is designed in coordinated with ISO 5151-2017. It can not only accurately measure the air volume, cooling capacity, heating capacity, cooling power consumption, heating power consumption, EER, COP and other performance parameters of air conditioners within 60K Btu (18KW) under various working conditions as per the requirements of the ISO 5151-2017 standard, but also can set different types of working conditions for testing according to the needs of users to achieve specific requirements of product quality inspection, research and development and etc.

 

This test system adopts a double enthalpy chamber structure, which is mainly calculated by the air enthalpy method. The indoor side contains a set of air volume measuring devices. The outdoor side adopts 150mm thick rigid polyurethane boards, and 0.6mm thick color steel plates on both sides for heat preservation, which has good heat preservation and heat insulation effect. The lowest temperature can reach -20℃ and the highest can reach 55℃. The indoor side adopts 100mm thick rigid polyurethane boards, and 0.6mm thick color steel plates on both sides for heat preservation. The heat preservation and heat insulation effect is good. The lowest temperature can reach 10℃ and the highest can reach 50℃. In order to facilitate the testing of different air conditioning units, an installation port is opened on the wall between the outdoor side and the indoor side. Side-by-side door mode is adopted, and the door is closed when not in use.

 

This laboratory contains two sets of refrigeration (heating) systems (one set in the indoor and the other set in the outdoor), which are used to adjust the air environment inside the test room, and perform operations such as cooling, dehumidification, humidification, and heating of the air in the test room, to make the temperature and humidity of the test room meet the requirements of test conditions.

 

This laboratory needs to be equipped with an operating room for storing office computers, power cabinets, control cabinets, variable frequency power supplies, etc. This room can be built with a board room, which should be built by the user (usually built next to the laboratory).

 

The test software of this test room is customized according to customer requirements, which can automatically calculate the air volume, cooling (heat) volume, power consumption, EER/COP and other parameters of the UUT, and the calculation results are accurate.

Test principle:

 

Shown as Figure following, the temperature and humidity of the indoor side and the outdoor side are controlled separately, and different temperatures are adjusted according to the standard requirements. When the working conditions are stable, the UUT can be turned on for starting the test.

The test room is equipped with a regulated power supply, which can reduce the influence of mains fluctuation on the test and measurement. The power, voltage and current of the air conditioner are measured by a class 0.5 power meter.

There is an air volume measuring device on the indoor side, and the air volume range is 200~3500m³/h.

There are temperature samplers in air inlet and outlet of the air conditioner that can collect the temperature and humidity of the inlet and outlet. The air volume is tested by the nozzle method, and the air volume testing device can measure the air outlet temperature, humidity and air volume. This test system uses the air enthalpy method to calculate the enthalpy and air volume values of the air inlet and outlet of the air conditioner, and obtain the cooling capacity and heating capacity of the air conditioner according to the formula.

There are multiple compressors on the indoor and outdoor of the laboratory, which can realize grading adjustment of cooling capacity. Each compressor can be controlled independently, and multiple compressors can be turned on when there is a large demand for cooling load in the laboratory. Only one compressor needs to be turned on when the cold load demand in the laboratory is small, which can reduce the power waste and adjust the working conditions quickly.
