IEC 60745-2 Impact Test Equipment

Product Description

IEC 60745-2 Electric Hammer Durability Impact Test Equipment For Similar Power Tools

Product Information:

Standard: IEC 60745-2-1: Particular requirements for drills and impact drills, clause 17; IEC 60745-2-6: Particular requirements for hammers, clause 17 and figure 103.

Application: This apparatus is applicable to durability test for hand held motor operated

electric tools power no more than 2.5KW.

Test sample: Electric hammers, Electric drills and impact drills

Feature: The test apparatus in according with IEC 607465-2-6 figure 103 requirements, load hammer or drill, intermittent operate it, check whether electrical or mechanical hazard appears during the normal use of the electric hammer or drill.

Equipment components are as follows:

1, electric control cabinet containing PLC, 7 Inch Touch screen, control panel, load (voltage 0-250V adjustable, voltage and current display);

2, mechanical device as shown in Figure 103, containing 360 kilograms of steel base, including the impact head, steel plate and fixture.

Features:

Electric hammer durability impact test equipment is a specialized apparatus used to evaluate the impact resistance and durability of electric hammers or similar power tools. These tools are subjected to repetitive impacts during their operation, and the test equipment is designed to simulate these conditions to assess their performance and reliability. Here are the key features and components typically found in electric hammer durability impact test equipment:

Test Platform: The equipment includes a sturdy test platform or fixture where the electric hammer is securely positioned during testing. The platform is designed to withstand the impact forces generated by the hammer.

Impact Mechanism: The test equipment incorporates an impact mechanism that delivers controlled and repeatable impacts to the electric hammer. This mechanism typically consists of a weighted arm or pendulum that swings and strikes the hammer in a predefined manner.

Adjustable Impact Energy: The equipment allows operators to adjust the impact energy or force applied to the electric hammer. This adjustment enables the simulation of different impact levels to replicate various working conditions or standards.

Impact Speed Control: Some test equipment may feature adjustable impact speed control, allowing operators to set the velocity at which the impact arm strikes the electric hammer. This control helps simulate different working speeds or impact scenarios.

Impact Counting and Monitoring: The equipment may have mechanisms to count and monitor the number of impacts delivered to the electric hammer during the test. This feature allows operators to track the cumulative impact count and evaluate the tool's durability over a specific period.

Safety Measures: Safety is a crucial consideration in the design of electric hammer durability impact test equipment. It may include safety enclosures, interlocks, or guarding systems to protect operators from potential hazards during testing.

Data Logging and Analysis: Some test equipment may offer data logging capabilities to record and analyze test data, including impact energy, speed, number of impacts, and any observed damage or failure of the electric hammer. This data can be used for evaluating the tool's durability and performance, identifying weaknesses or failure points, and guiding improvements in design or manufacturing.

Electric hammer durability impact test equipment plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electric hammers or similar power tools. By subjecting these tools to controlled and repetitive impacts, the equipment helps assess their ability to withstand regular use and potential abuse in demanding work environments. The test results contribute to enhancing the design, materials, and manufacturing processes, ultimately leading to more robust and durable electric hammers that meet industry standards and user expectations.

Test Functions:

1. No load test: All hammers, including hammers with drill only mode, are mounted vertically in a test apparatus as shown in Figure 103 and are operated at 1.1 times rated voltage for 12h, then operated at 0.9 times rated voltage for 12h. Each cycle comprising a period of operation of 30s and a rest period of 90s during which the tool remains switched off. During test, on each test voltage, hammer placed in three different directions (horizontal, vertical, vertical), each position of the tool running time of about 4 hours.

2. Load test: All hammers, including hammers with drill only mode, are mounted vertically in a test apparatus as shown in Figure 103 and are operated at rated voltage or at the mean value of the rated voltage range, for four periods of 6h each, the interval between these periods being at least 30 min.

During these tests, hammers are operated intermittently, each cycle comprising a period of operation of 30s and a rest period of 90s during which the tool remains switched off.

During the tests, an axial force to ensure steady operation of the impact mechanism is applied to the hammer through a resilient medium.

If the temperature rise of any part of the tool exceeds the temperature rise determined during the test of 12.1, forced cooling or rest periods are applied, the rest period being excluded from the specified operating time.
