IEC60309-1: 2012 “Plug, socket-outlets and couplers for industrial purposes–Part1: General requirements” clause 22.

Application:

 

To verify accessories shall be so constructed that the temperature rise in normal use is not excessive.

It is used to check the temperature rise of the plugs, socket-outlets and vehicle connectors after passing the rated current, the heating conditions on the surface of the electrical accessories when the load current is connected, and whether the temperature rise of the terminals meets the requirements of the standard.

 

Test Principle:

 

Provides a low voltage to the sample, and then the temperature rise is collected within a certain period of time, which is compared with the standard requirements.

 

Structure:

 

The temperature rise test system consists of an electric voltage regulator, a current transducer, a PLC programmable controller, a current sensor, a humanized touch screen and a movable chassis. It can stably output the test current, and eliminate the influence to the test current caused by the fluctuation of the power supply voltage, the connecting wire or the copper bar, and the resistance value of the sample, and improve the accuracy of the test result. The power supply have functions of low loss, high efficiency, easy operation, complete control and detection. The touch screen can display the current value and the temperature values of each temperature measurement points in real time. The temperature value can be recorded every 2 seconds and report can be generated, which can be stored in a USB flash drive and copied to a computer for viewing and printing.
