The difference between a high & low temperature test chamber and a constant temperature & humidity chamber

There are many types of equipment in the environmental testing equipment industry, the high & low temperature test chamber and a constant temperature & humidity chamber are two different types of equipment for environmental testing. From the appearance, they are not much different, but the tests performed are quite different. So, what is the difference between a high & low temperature test chamber and a constant temperature & humidity chamber?

1. The difference in definition:

1.1 If you just want to do a high & low temperature test testing without humidity testing, just call it a high-low temperature test chamber. It can also be called "high and low temperature alternating test box".

1.2 If you want to do a high & low temperature tests, and do humidity test at the same time, when performing a loop test, we call high and low temperature damp heat alternating test chamber, constant temperature and humidity chamber, etc.

The general constant temperature and humidity test chamber can do "humid heat alternating test" but it depends on the alternating test conditions. If you want to buy equipment, you should tell the supplier your requirements before you buy the equipment. So that the equipment can be designed and debugged according to your requirements.

A high & low temperature test chamber test chamber: usually, the temperature will reach -20 ℃ or lower, and can also do humidity test (only limited to 15~85 ℃). The damp-heat alternating test is mainly: in a certain period of time, the temperature remains unchanged and the humidity is tested according to rate of change you set, or vice versa. Some tests are required that the temperature and humidity change simultaneously at a set rate. The general constant temperature and humidity test is to control the humidity after the temperature arrives.

2. The difference in principle:

A high & low temperature test chamber test working principle:Refrigeration cycle adopts reverse Karuo cycle, the cycle consists of two isothermal processes and two adiabatic processes,The process is as follows: the refrigerant is adiabaticly compressed by the compressor to a higher pressure, and the consumed work increases the temperature of the exhaust gas. After that, the refrigerant exchanges heat with the surrounding medium through the condenser isothermally and transfers the heat to the surrounding medium. Then, the refrigerant passes through the shutoff valve adiabatic expansion to perform work, at this time the temperature of the refrigerant decreases. Finally, the refrigerant absorbs heat isothermally from the higher temperature object through the evaporator, so that the temperature of the cooled object is reduced.

Finally, the refrigerant absorbs heat isothermally from the higher temperature object through the evaporator, so that the temperature of the cooled object is lowered.

The temperature range of a constant temperature and humidity chamber is usually divided into four ranges: 0℃~180℃, -20℃~180℃, -40℃~180℃, -70℃~180℃,the humidity range of a constant temperature and humidity chamber is usually divided into four ranges: 0℃~180℃、-20℃~180℃、-40℃~180℃、-70℃~180℃,Usually, the lower the temperature and the wider the temperature range that the test chamber can achieve, the higher the price of the test equipment, because the lower the temperature to be tested, the more difficult it is for manufacturers to manufacture the equipment. But, if the above four temperature ranges cannot meet the requirements of the sample test, you can customize the required temperature range from the manufacturer. However, manufacturers will also increase equipment prices due to increased production costs and difficulty in production.
